Rich Mix, London
Rich Mix is one of London’s diverse arts centres with flexible and creative spaces, including cinema rooms, boardrooms and large events spaces. As a not-for-profit organisation, all net profits go back into supporting their mission, so by hiring one of their spaces for your next event, not only will you experience a unique venue, but you will also be supporting their valuable work in East London communities.

Common House, London
Common House is a collectively managed space offering very low (and no-) cost meeting, organising, and co-working space for grass-roots groups from across London. All they ask is that you help them keep the doors open somehow: cleaning, helping make decisions, fundraising, sharing skills etc.

NCVO, London
NCVO’s conference suites have a range of meeting rooms, overlooking Regent’s Canal, available for hire at reasonable costs (discounts available for NCVO members).

Wharf Chambers, Leeds
Wharf Chambers is a bar and multi-use venue in the centre of Leeds run by a workers’ co-op. They aim to provide an inclusive and affordable space for music, art, film, politics and discussion that brings together people from communities across Leeds.

Holyoake House, Manchester
Built in the 19th century, Holyoake House is the home of the UK’s co-operative movement. The Edwardian building is kitted out with the most up-to-date technology and with high ceilings, parquet floors and plenty of natural light.

Partisan, Manchester
Partisan is a collective and volunteer run space for independent, community led, DIY and cultural based projects. Partisan members may apply for reduced rates if they need space for a charity, activist work, community, unfunded arts, or other good causes!

Cowley Club, Brighton
The Cowley Club is a social centre housing a cafe, bookshop, library, members bar and is a base for a variety of other projects. The club is collectively owned and run as a base for those involved in grassroots social change and run entirely by volunteers. Their library is available to hire and free for grassroots/activist meetings.

The Sumac Centre, Nottingham
The Sumac Centre exists to promote, support and provide resources for radical social change. The centre asks for donations to cover costs of opening the centre for groups, but acknowledges that some groups have no or little funds.
