To protect the safety of everyone we have suspended all in-person training, including Bootcamps 18 and 19, which were due to take place in May and July this year.
Due to the spread of COVID-19 in the UK and globally, we have made the decision to suspend all in-person training until further notice.
At Campaign Bootcamp, care is one of the key values that guides our work. That’s care for our community, both present and future, care for our staff and the people we work with, and care for the issues that our community fight for. Our priority has and always will be the safety and wellbeing of our community and staff. Our decision to postpone our May and July Bootcamp residentials means that we can continue to work in line with these values.
We are still dedicated to training people to run powerful campaigns, despite the circumstances we find ourselves in. That’s why our team of brilliant facilitators and trainers are experimenting with delivering online trainings, and we’d love to keep in touch with anyone who is interested in learning more about this. You can sign up to learn more about our online trainings here.
The trainings are currently in development, so we’re not sure when we will be in touch, but we can promise that it will be soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions about us suspending in-person training, check out the FAQs below:
I applied to Bootcamp 18 or 19, what happens now?
We’re sorry that Bootcamps 18 and 19 won’t happen as planned, but we must put the safety of everyone first. We know you did a lot of work on your application and have saved your application. As soon as we’re able to resume in-person training we will let you know.
If you applied, you should have received an email from us, explaining how to forward your application to our next in-person Bootcamp. If you did not get this email, please get in touch.
Does this mean that you’re not doing any training at all?
No, we are experimenting with doing online training. We’d love to give you training – you can find out more by joining the waiting list here.
When will Campaign Bootcamp resume in-person training?
We don’t know. We are very aware that we must always put the safety of our participants and staff first, so we will follow advice from the National Health Service, UK Government, and relevant authorities.
Are you still planning to deliver a residential Bootcamp this autumn?
Bootcamp 20 is set to take place between 11-16 October 2020. We would love to run this camp, but we can’t promise anything. We will let everyone on our mailing list know as soon as we’re able to open applications for any future camp, so do sign up for updates here.
We’ll also contact everyone who applied to camp this year to ask if they’d like to re-apply.
What else are the team at Campaign Bootcamp up to at the moment?
Our training team are currently working to create online training and improve and develop our online resources.
Over the coming months, we will also be sharing meaningful content from the community in our blogs and newsletters, and are looking for more ways to support our community of graduates.
Last week we sent out a survey to graduates of all of our training programmes. We asked them what online training they would like to see us run, as well as some questions about what resources, connections, and support we might be able to provide them and their communities at this time. If you have any ideas, let us know by getting in touch.
How can I stay in touch with what’s happening at Campaign Bootcamp?
If you haven’t done so already, please take this opportunity to sign up to our newsletter to ensure you receive further updates. This way you will hear when we open up applications for our residential Bootcamps again, and you will also be the first to hear about our new online trainings, which we are planning to launch soon.
If you have any questions which are not answered here, please do get in touch. You can reach us on [email protected], or give us a ring on 020 3868 6376.
