Chip in to the Campaign Bootcamp Access Fund

Next week we’re hoping to open applications for our next camps but have a problem - for every camp we run we need to raise £50,000 for the Access Fund and so far we’ve only raised £41,000.

Update – Friday 8th Jan

Wow! In just 48 hours we’ve raised an amazing £6000 thanks to donations from all over the country and the amazing team at Care2! Amazing! Thank you so much, all these donations we’re one step closer to keeping Campaign Bootcamp accessible to the activists that need it most! We’re so close to hitting the target, please chip in whatever you can afford by clicking the buttons below:

One of the things I love most about Bootcamp is that it’s open to anyone who is dreaming of building a fairer, greener and better world. That’s possible because of the Bootcamp Access Fund – which is to anyone who can’t afford the course fees or travel costs.

Next week we’re hoping to open applications for our next camps but have a problem – for every camp we run we need to raise £50,000 for the Access Fund and so far we’ve only raised £41,000.

Can you chip in £5 to help close that gap? Every pound donated will make sure that we can offer scholarships and travel bursaries to the activists that need it most. You can make a secure donation here:

When we set Bootcamp up we had a big dream – to building a thriving and diverse community of activists who support, encourage and champion each other. Thanks to your support that dream is slowly but surely coming true. We’ve trained 140 activists all over the UK and the comments they send us are amazing. Here’s a few of them:

  • “Campaign Bootcamp is a miracle wrapped up in a week which enables you to discover talents/opportunities you never thought you had”
  • “The most empowering political experience I’ve ever had!”
  • “Is a powerful and empowering and life changing process. You will leave with a whole new campaign family.”
  • “Is a powerful and empowering and life changing process. You will leave with a whole new campaign family.”
  • “It will change your outlook on campaigning and [is] full of so much love!”
  • “Campaign Bootcamp was an empowering and life changing experience. One of the only campaigning workshops I have been on that truly focused on building a community of campaigners without pandering to the ‘politics’ so often found in the charity sector. It was a really refreshing and motivational week.”

Next week we hope we can start the hunt for the next round of Bootcampers who are dreaming of building a better and fairer world. But we can’t do that without your support. Can you chip in £5 so that the activists with the biggest dreams, and the greatest need can come to our next Bootcamp.  You can make a secure donation here:

Thanks so much!

PS: One of the best things about Bootcamp is that it really works. I’ve just finished going over all our evaluation data for the last year and here are some of the stats:

  • We’re helping to make the campaign sector more diverse – at our last Bootcamp over 50% of participants were from BAME backgrounds, over 50% were women and 40% identified as working class.
  • Bootcampers reported a 40% increase in their ability to use data to make campaign decisions and 88% said they could now use new tools and techniques in their campaigning
  • 92% of participants said they could now campaign with more confidence and reported a 50% increase in their ability to plan and run campaigns that will make change happen.
  • 80% of participants said they could now work together with other campaigners more effectively and 73% said they would use Campaign Bootcamp to build a better network with other campaigners.
