About us

We are a charity dedicated to ensuring that people most impacted by injustice are leading campaigns that affect their lives, from better housing to fairer treatment of migrants to LGBTQ+ rights. Our mission is to support people to run effective campaigns that challenge injustice. We do this by running campaign training programmes that help people develop the skills, confidence and community to change things that matter to them. In our trainings, we prioritise people from communities directly impacted by injustice.
Participants might be low-income, working-class people, people of colour, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people and migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
Our graduates testify before Parliament, organise national demonstrations, change laws and wage important, successful campaigns. They are from diverse and marginalised communities and our evaluation shows that they are developing confidence in their ability to affect change and are making meaningful ‘wins’ towards achieving their aims on a broad range of issues such as; violence in a community, access to public space, fairness in the asylum system, and women’s inclusion and safety in leisure centres.

About the job

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator who will help us set up and deliver our learning programme for campaigners and trainers. These programmes will be residential, online, community-based and event-based. They will be delivered to individual campaigners, community groups, charitable partner clients. The Logistics Coordinator role is a varied position that gives you an opportunity to work in lots of different ways. Each day is different in this role. One day you could be creating social media materials to recruit new people to our trainings, the next, you could be coordinating venues, catering and transportation for a residential training, or talking to a participant about their access needs and how we can best accommodate them.
Your role is to help ensure that all our participants have a great experience of our learning programmes by recruiting people to our programmes and then making sure that all of their technical, logistical and access needs are met. We are looking for someone who can think creatively about how to best support people (Would it help for people to have a guide explaining how to use Zoom? How can we reach people who have been in the care system to let them know that there is a scholarship available for them to attend our residential?) and someone who has rigorous attention to detail, for example, ensuring that all dietary needs are communicated accurately to the caterer or our complex schedule for processing hundreds of applications to the residential programmes is well coordinated. The tasks you do on any given day may be different, but they are all about making sure participants feel supported, prepared and have what they need to engage with the training. Some work may be outside office hours.

About the team

The successful applicant will join our newly formed Logistics team for programme delivery. Managed by the Logistics and Operations Manager you will be working closely with the different programmes to support participant and trainers needs.
We know there is a huge demand for our work, so are working hard to grow our organisation in a sustainable way. You’ll be a key part of doing that – by helping our colleagues deliver efficient, powerful programmes.
